"In all the world, only one..."
AAA Five Diamond-rated Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott Resort & Spa turned 70 and to celebrate, underwent a $45MM transformation. This follows an $8MM renovation in 2003 of the resort’s 32,000-square-foot Spa at Camelback Inn, perennially voted “best spa and best massage in Phoenix” by the readers of Phoenix Magazine.
The resort, a legendary fixture at the foot of Camelback Mountain since 1936, saw some major changes occur which began in 2007, including a reinvention of the main building, a complete rebuild of the ballroom, a more welcoming arrival and a soothing experiential courtyard with water and fire elements for guests to enjoy.
Other enhancements include two new restaurants with contemporary décor, outdoor seating among gardens and fireplaces and cuisine showcasing the culinary talent of our chefs.
Each of these new changes come while maintaining the unique essence and soul of what Camelback Inn is, a legendary historical landmark embracing a true Arizona experience.
In March of 2008, Mr. Marriott, legendary hotelier, spoke of his family's decades-long attachment to the historic property, marked his birthday while celebrating the $45 million renovation, and offered a Sneak Peak of the changes at Camelback Inn
